The Brisbane City Council and Splash Leisure have conducted a review of the leasing and operating arrangements for the Centenary Pool facility at Spring Hill and the Chermside Leisure Centre with a view to providing an improved experience for patrons of the facility now and into the future. As a result of this review the operation of the venue will be undertaken by BlueFit Leisure. BlueFit will re-open and operate the venues from Saturday 7 May 2011 while the Brisbane City Council prepares plans to improve the venue and the experience for patrons.

BlueFit Leisure is an experienced public leisure facility management company with 30 facilities through Sydney and South East Queensland. More information on the company can be found at www.bluefit.com.au.

It is important to understand that all current bookings, enrolments, visit passes and memberships will be honoured in full by BlueFit Leisure. BlueFit Leisure also operate the Colmslie, Runcorn, Spring Hill and Carole Park facilities on behalf of Brisbane City Council under the BlueFit Brisbane brand. If you are a current visit pass holder or member of Chermside or Centenary, one benefit is that you now have complete access to all six venues from next Saturday as memberships are shared.
